Julian Russell McCubbin born January 16, 1935 in Charleston, WV. AKA Russ McCubbin currently living in Charleston, West Virginia.
Parents: Clarence Basil McCubbin of Elizabethtown and Magnolia. Kentucky born 1909 (Deceased 1967) and Pearlie Fay Hutton McCubbin of Bear Fork, Jackson County, West Virginia born 1912 (Deceased 1997). Both parents lived in Charleston, West Virginia over fifty years.
Three brothers: Marvin Victor McCubbin born in Charleston, West Virginia currently of Summerville, South Carolina; Duane Allen McCubbin born in Seth, West Virginia, currently of Summerville, South Carolina; and Rodger Maxwell McCubbin born Charleston, West Virginia currently of Kenna, West Virginia. Two sisters: Joyce Evelyn (McCubbin) Balderson of Charleston, West Virginia (Deceased 1997); and Mila Jean (McCubbin) Hurley born in Charleston, West Virginia, currently of Columbia, South Carolina.
Attended - Hubbard Elementary School in Charleston, West Virginia; Roosevelt Junior High School in Charleston, West Virginia; Charleston High School in Charleston, West Virginia. Class of 1952; Hargrave Military Academy in Chatham, Virginia. Class of 1953. VPI currently known as Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia. School year 1953-1954.
Military - United States Army August 11, 1954 - September 13, 1957. Stationed at Fort Knox, KY; Fort Jackson, South Carolina; Fort Campbell, Kentucky; and Camp Peary, Virginia. Discharged Fort Eustis, Virginia.
May 6, 1958 hitchhiked to Hollywood, California.
May 6, 1992 returned home to Charleston (Coonskin), West Virginia.
Russ would like to become more involved in local commercials, local theatre, movie and television productions, personal appearances and stand up comedy.
